Boy Scouts of America
The Bluegrass Railroad Club has been involved in numerous Boy Scouts of America events including merit badge fairs and pinewood derbies. At the merit badge fairs, club members have assisted scouts in obtaining their railroading merit badges. We have participated at fairs held at Camp McKee and Georgetown. At pinewood derbies, club members have operated train layouts to provide some entertainment during registration and sign-in and also a pinewood car return train on Lionel flatcars. We are proud to have assisted in sharing model trains to this new generation since 2007.
